Get to know your PC

The first thing to do is to identify the make and model number of your computer as well as note down the information shown on various stickers.  There should be a sticker on the back with information about your computer's operating system along with its product key.  This product key is required in case you need to re-install the operating system, and neither the computer manufacturer nor the software company will be able to provide the product key to you.

I will show you other ways to record the product key as long as the computer is able to boot up in my future posts.
